Pick: Oklahoma (-6) vs. West Virginia

Reasoning: The Sooners are one of many teams this season living on the bubble. A loss today could possibly put Oklahoma on the other side, and into the NIT. I believe this is a tournament team and the crimson and cream will show that tonight. They take on Bob Huggins and his struggling West Virginia team. The Mountaineers have players injured, suspended, and team commitment is clearly an issue. Expect Christian James and Oklahoma to move on to the next round in an easy win over West Virginia tonight.

Pick: Illinois (-2) vs. Northwestern

Reasoning: The Northwestern Wildcats sit alone at the bottom of the BIG10. Only winning one game in their last twelve. For a team that had decent expectations coming into this season, have absolutely underachieved this year. While they take on an Illinois team who isn’t exactly good either today in round one of the conference tournament. Illinois has played better ball as of late, and should be the clear favorite in this matchup. Tonight, I think The Fighting Illini turn the corner with a win to build momentum for next season. In reality, this isn’t a team that is going to win the loaded BIG10 tournament. Expect Ayo Dosunmu to lead the way for Illinois in the win.
