As we look at today’s 5 game slate, we need to go over how on fire the TakeDownFantasy brand was this week. Not even counting today’s 3 articles coming out, the website released 15 articles to help and entertain you. Johnny’s DFS “Off The Cuff” sheets have been on fire and Bailey’s Betting Picks have led him to a 5-1 record. Donovan, RJ, and I are holding it down with authentic NFL and NBA content. After winning $50 on a $4 entry yesterday, I wanted to share some advice and notes for today’s slate. Without further ado, let’s get this money!

Trailblazers/Mavericks: On a 5 game slate, it’s going to come down to nailing your expensive plays and tonight, I think Damian Lillard is the guy you need in your lineups. In 2 games vs the Mavericks this year, he’s averaging 33 PPG, 7.5 APG, 5 RPG, 1.5 SPG, and .5 BPG. That’s 56.25 FanDuel Points on average folks. He is my lock. On the other side of the ball, you have to look at rookie phenom Luka Doncic. The Swiss army knife typically fills up the stat sheet on a nightly basis but he’s currently rocking a 37.9% usage after all the trades the Mavericks did this year. Also if you need a cheap play from this game, take a look at Al-Farouq Aminu. Averaging a double-double vs the Mavericks and he should have no problem getting rebounds vs a team whose frontcourt consists of Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber.

Lakers/76ers: Let’s start with veteran PG Rajon Rondo. He dropped 32.9 FanDuel points in his only game vs the 76ers this season and Lonzo Ball will be missing today’s game, making him a lock for 30 minutes in an expected high scoring game. Lebron James is probable for today’s game and is rocking a 36% usage rate with Lonzo Ball, Michael Beasley, and Ivica Zubac out of the lineup. I love Javale Mcgee today. He should be a lock for 30 minutes, priced at $5.5k, dropped 19 points/14 rebounds vs the Sixers last game and his usage goes up not sharing minutes with Zubac anymore. Also just wanted to put this out there, Ingram scored 35 real points last game vs Sixers. When looking at the Sixers, I’m 100% fading Ben Simmons because of recency bias, as he only scored 16.8 Fanduel Points in the last game and that could play a factor with Tobias Harris now in the lineup. As for Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler, they are both great plays since they are averaging 50 FanDuel Points vs the Lakers and are both coming off huge games with Harris in the Lineup.

Suns/Kings: Devin Booker is expected to return today with a probable tag. He was simply on fire from 1/29-2/4 so we will see if he gets back on track today. Booker is rocking a 33% usage rate with Warren and Melton out of the lineup. Forget Josh Jackson and give me Kelly Oubre today. The dude has rejuvenated his career since being traded to the Suns. We can’t ignore he averages 40 FanDuel Points vs the Kings in a 2 game sample size this year. Deandre Ayton will be low owned today and gets a matchup vs a generous kings front-court. Ayton has the 10th easiest matchup for centers and averaged 33 FanDuel Points vs the Kings this year. The only Kings player that interests me today is Marvin Bagley. The rookie is averaging 28 MPG, 13 PPG, 10 RPG, 1 BPG in the last 5 games. Also consider Fox/Hield for tournaments.

Magic/Hawks: Throughout the early build, I’m not sure how I feel about this game since both teams are on a B2B since they both played yesterday. Regardless we only have a couple spots worth talking about from this game. From the Orlando side, I like Fournier in an up-tempo game vs a Hawks team who hands up points to the SG position like its candy on Halloween. I’m also looking at Aaron Gordon due to the fact that the Hawks are the 4th worst against the PF position and tend to struggle vs athletic big men. From the Hawks side, I’m really only interested in Trae Young. This guy is the future of the league in my opinion. He has 30 point upside every night and I don’t expect DJ Augustin to be able to keep up with the rookie.

Heat/Warriors: Im actually not a huge fan of this game because of two scenarios. One, the Warriors are -14 today, meaning they are expected to absolutely smack the Heat tonight. On the other scenario, the Heat is one of the top defenses in the league and they usually hold the opposing teams top players in check, so for this game, expect Justise Winslow guard Steph Curry, while Josh Richardson and Dion Waiters attempt to shut down Kevin Durant. Regardless this could be the lowest scoring game of the slate so im not that interested in this game. I do think Justise Winslow see’s the most minutes tonight due to his elite defensive ability and the fact that backup PG Tyler Johnson was traded to the Phoenix Suns.
